Storefronts

In 2002, from november 6th to 10th, during the first European Social Forum, the center of the City of Florence, Italy, was transformed into a surreal ad half-deserted place.

In those days, because of the climate of paranoia from urban guerrilla spread by the Mediascape, the Government and the Police Forces, a great number of dwellers left the city and the storefronts were protected with anti-breakthrough shileds.

At the end the city was not harmed at all and the shields built to protect the storefronts became huge and diffused urban message boards.
